Numerical Problem No. 13.7 (Electrostatics) Physics SSC - II (Class 10)

A capacitor holds 0.06 coulombs of charge when fully charged by a 9-volt battery. Calculate the capacitance of the capacitor. Ans. (6.67 𝐱10⁻³ F)

Given Data:

Charge on Capacitor = Q = 0.06 C 

voltage = V = 9 V

To Find:

Capacitance = C = ? 

Solution:

We know that

Q = CV

or

C = `\frac{Q}{V}`

by putting values

C = `\frac{0.06 C}{9 V}`

C = 0.0067 F

or

C = 6.7 ｘ10⁻³ F -----------------------Ans.
