The temperature of water in a beaker is 50°C. What is its value on the Fahrenheit scale? Ans. (122°F)


Given:

Temperature of Water in Celsius Scale = C = 50°C

To Find:

The temperature of Water in Fahrenheit Scale = F = ?

Solution:  

The inter-conversion formula between Fahrenheit Scale and Celsius Scale is

F `\frac {9}{5}`C + 32

by putting values

`\frac {9}{5}`50 + 32

90 + 32

= 122°F

Thus the temperature of the water in Fahrenheit is 122°F
