Given:
The radius of the microwave oven plate = r = 0.15 m
Angular velocity = ⍵ = 6.0 rev/min = `\frac {6.0 x 2 π rad}{60 s}` = 0.2 π rad/s
Cooking time = t = 2.0 min = 120 s
To Find:
Distance traveled = S = ?
Solution:
we know that
S = r 𝛉 --------------(1)
and
𝛉 = ⍵ t -------------(2)
putting equation (2) in equation (1)
S = r ⍵ t
by putting values
S = 0.15 m x 0.2 x3.141592 rad/s x120 s
S = 11.309 m
or
S = 11 m -----------------Ans
