Solution:  

(a) 27.5 x 10⁻¹⁰ m  

⟹ 2.75 ｘ10 ｘ10⁻¹⁰ m    

⟹ 2.75 ｘ 10¹⁻¹⁰ m

⟹ 2.75 ｘ 10⁻⁹ m   [∴ 10⁻⁹ = n]

⟹ 2.75 nm ----------------Ans. 

(c) 0.00023  ｘ10⁻² s

⇒  2.3 ｘ10⁻⁴ ｘ10⁻² m

⇒  4.693 ｘ 10⁻⁴⁻² m 

⇒  4.693 ｘ 10⁻⁶ m      [∴ 10⁻⁶ = μ]

⇒  4.693 μm  ------------Ans.
