Solution:  

As we know

1 year = 365 days

1 month = 30 days

1 day = 24 hours

1 hour = 60 minutes

1 minute = 60 seconds


Part - a (in seconds)


15 years = 15 ï½˜ 365 ï½˜ 24 ｘ 60 ｘ 60 sec = 473,040,000 sec

2 moths = 2 ï½˜ 30 ï½˜ 24 ｘ 60 ｘ 60 sec = 5,184,000 sec

10 days = 10 ï½˜ 24 ｘ 60 ｘ 60 sec = 864,000 sec

Thus

15 years + 2 moths + 10 days = 473,040,000 sec + 5,184,000 sec + 864,000 sec

Boys age in seconds = 479,088,000 sec ---------Ans.1

or (in scientific Notation)

Boys age in seconds = 4.791 ｘ 10⁸ sec 


Part - b (in milliseconds)


As we know that

1 sec = 1000 milli sec     [∴ 10⁻³ = milli]

and As calculated above in Part-a

Boys age in seconds = 479,088,000 sec

thus 

Boys age in milli seconds = 479,088,000,000 milli sec ------------Ans.2

or (in scientific Notation)

Boys age in milliseconds = 4.791 ｘ 10¹¹ ms

As we know that
