How many kilometres are there in 25 micrometres?

Ans { 25 ｘ10⁻⁹  km }

Solution:  

As we know

1 micro metre = 10⁻⁶ metre

1 killo metre = 10³ metres

as given 

25 micro metre = 25 ｘ 10⁻⁶ metre --------(1)

To convert micrometers into kilometers we have to multiply the RHS of Eqn (1) by 10⁻³ ｘ 10³

25 micro metre = 25 ｘ10⁻⁶ ｘ 10⁻³ ｘ 10³ metre

25 micro metre = 25 ｘ10⁻⁹ killo metre (km) -----Ans.
