Significant Figure and Rules

Given:

Values; 12, 13.5, 15.432

To Find:

Sum to a correct significant figure

Solution:

12 + 13.5 + 15.432 = 40.932 = 41

According to the rules of significant figures, the answer should be rounded off to 2 significant figures as the least given significant figure is 12.
